How to join the Oceanographic Society of Japan
To join our society, please fill out the application form and send it to the following address.

Membership categories and annual fees
- Regular member
- JPY 11,000 (About USD110) per year
- Regular member of age 65 or above
- JPY 8,000 (About USD80) per year
- Student member
- JPY 6,000 (About USD60) per year
From April 1, 2005, overseas membership is merged into regular or student membership.
Members annually receive 6 issues of Journal of Oceanography (written in English, abstract can be found in the Terra Scientific Publishing Company), and 6 issues of Oceanography in Japan (written in Japanese with English abstract). Member can give his/her presentation in Spring and Fall meetings of the society, with discounted registration fees.
Online payment of annual fee
Members living out of Japan can pay the fee using credit cards.
Payment is operated by ecash corporation, and acceptable cards are Master, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, and JCB.
